ASSE Film: Celebrating 100 Years of Safety
On January 5, 2011, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) introduced a new documentary film exploring the history of work safety through stories of safety achievement and tragedy. Over the last 100 years, a number of events which are explored in the film explain why workers are safer today and what will help workers remain safe in the future. This new film coincides with the ASSE's 100-year mark. The ASSE was officially organized following one of the worst workplace disasters in modern-day history (watch the video to learn about the disaster!). The film is something any worker and employer will want to see. Watch it below:
